Question: Where and when do you race?
Answer: We race at the best tracks in the
North East. Schedule can be found here.
Question: How much does it cost?
Answer: Race entry fee for all EMRA
Sanctioned Races is $180 (Pre-registered). Registration after the
deadline (1 week prior to race date) will cost an additional $50. You
are encouraged to pre-register. It saves you money. In addition
you are entitled to a full refund if you don't put your car on track.
Entry fee for outside events (Non-EMRA) will be announced on this
website prior to the event.
Notes: Prices for 2007 will be posted shortly, but
should be similar to what is outlined above.
Question(s): What are the rules, regulations
and specifications?
Answer(s):
1) Formula Pro Racing Series is a club within EMRA
and follows EMRA\SCCA rules, regulations and specifications. There are
a few specific exceptions that differ from SCCA rules and these are
listed in the FPR rules book. If you have questions or experience any
problems at the track, ask one of the FPR officials. There is a
drivers meeting before each race conducted by EMRA and an additional
meeting for FPR series drivers conducted by FPR.
2) AMB transponders are required at all races. These
are the same as SCCA. You will not be scored if you don’t have a
transponder. Contact EMRA or SCCA to purchase one. Hard-wired model is
recommended. There are a limited amount of transponders available for
rental at the track.
3) In the Club Ford class there is no spec tire rule
unless drivers elect to run a spec tire.
4) Entry fee for all non-Pro races (EMRA races) will
be announced. Registration after the deadline (1 week prior to
race) or at the track is $40 additional. You are encouraged to
pre-register; it saves money and you are entitled to a full refund if
you don’t put your car on track.
5) Formula Pro Racing is supported by
Bosch, Averill Racing Stuff, John Berget Tire, Goodyear, KFP, Impact
Race Products, Pr1mus Racing Parts and Bell Racing. Decals for
these sponsors , as well as FPR , must be displayed on the racecar.
You will be given these decals at your first race. Please support our
sponsors.
6) You must indicate the correct class that you are
racing with on the registration form for each race. Formula Pro Racing
has 6 classes: FC1, FC2, FCS (FSCCA), FA, FF and CF. You
must use this class designation each time you register for a race.
7) Included in your annual membership fee is the
annual Tech. inspection. FPR arranges for your inspection at the track
or before the race season. This inspection is accepted by EMRA and you
have only one inspection per year (except for re-exam for accident
damage). Your log book with annual inspection stamp is all you need at
Tech. before each race. Our Chief of Tech. is Joe Stimola. He will be
at selected races throughout the season and can be reached for
information or help at 516-671-9715
Question: How do I register for a race?
Answer: You can register for EMRA
Sanctioned races thru EMRA at

Non-EMRA Sanctioned races thru special registrations forms provided by
FPR. Contact

Question: Do I need to be a member of FPR/EMRA
to Race?
Answer: No. We honor most race licenses.
However. please note only members will be entitled to receive sponsor
products or race points. "Outside" events will require temporary
membership.
Question: What happens if I don’t race?

If you don’t put your car on track you are entitled to a full refund,
no questions asked.
